Kindphone (“the App”) is developed by Agustín Carreras (“we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our App.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect, store, or have access to any personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
2. Documents and Reading Data
All documents you import into Kindphone remain stored locally on your device. We do not upload, access, or store your files, reading progress, bookmarks, or any content you read. Your reading data is private and stays on your device.
3. Third-Party Services: Google AdMob
The App displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) and other non-personal data to serve personalized ads. This is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
You can opt out of personalized advertising by:
- Going to your device Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and disabling “Allow Apps to Request to Track” or turning off tracking for Kindphone.
- Enabling “Limit Ad Tracking” on older iOS versions.
When you opt out of tracking, AdMob will serve non-personalized ads. No personal data is shared with us.
4. App Tracking Transparency
Upon first launch, Kindphone will ask for your permission to use your advertising identifier for personalized ads, in compliance with Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework. You may grant or deny permission; your choice does not affect the core functionality of the App. You can change your preference anytime in your device Settings.
5. In-App Purchases
Kindphone offers an optional “Remove Ads” purchase. All payments are processed securely by Apple via the App Store, and we do not receive or store any payment information such as credit card details. Your transaction remains private between you and Apple.
6. Data Storage and Security
Since we do not collect personal data, we do not store or process your information on external servers. Your documents and settings reside entirely on your device and are subject to the security measures of iOS (e.g., device encryption).
7. Children’s Privacy
The App does not target children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our support page. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
